We are producing a RIMT #19 in LOS ANGELES April 1-11
In this event, 8 writers are paired with 8 composers they’ve never met. They write, and rehearse a 10-minute musical in 10 days with the guidance of 2 directors and 2 music directors.

The submission deadline is February 7, 2005. POSTMARKED.
When submitting a work sample, make sure your name and contact info is on all materials (CD, script, etc.)
We are interested in working with artists from all forms of music theatre, from Broadway style to Operatic to Experiemental. We also greatly encourage people from underrepresetned groups and to apply.
Ways to increase your chaces of being involved include: Have a colleague who has participated in RIMT write you a recommendation.
You may apply in more than one category, but will only be accepted in 1. For instance there will be no writers who also direct for RIMT. Please state clearly in your cover letter what position(s) you're applying for.
Work Samples:
FROM EVERYONE: 1 Resume and Cover Letter stating why the process excites you and how you heard about Raw Impressions.
Actor/Singers: Send a headshot and resume. You may be called in to audition in March.
Writers: The first 20 pages of a full length music theatre piece or play, OR (2) 10 minute plays. In addition, send at least 2 lyric sheets for songs you've written. A CD of the songs is very helpful, but is not necessary. Do not send cassettes. If you're not a lyrycist that's OK. We sometimes pair playwrights and bookwriters with composer/lyricists.
Composers: Send a CD with 2-4 selections (Less than 10 min each) on it either from the same show or multiple shows. Include the Lyric/Libretto sheet for all and include a piano vocal score for at least one. If all music is electronic and no score is available, send a description of your tech and composition process.
Directors: Email us with a letter of interest. Attach a resume in MS Word format.
